A smooth week for the first time in a while. Nothing for me to complain about at all. Midweek runs were good. A few speedy efforts mixed in to get the legs to wake up ahead of the Clonmel Half at the weekend. It worked out well.
Last week I said that if I could break 93 minutes in Clonmel I would be very happy indeed. Today I am very happy indeed. The race was as good as could be but it did surface an issue with fitness and heart rate in response to faster paces. This is something to work on ahead of the Dublin Marathon and I will tweak my training plan to tackle this on the lead-in.
